Our Story
Casa Chuparrosas was born from a simple dream: to live close to the land and share its beauty with others. Tucked away in the mountains of San Mateo Río Hondo, our home grew into a retreat where hospitality, nature, and flavor come together. What began as a cabin and a garden became a sanctuary—where mornings are filled with mist rolling through the pines, and evenings unfold around a private table set with ingredients grown just steps away. Every detail reflects our belief that true luxury is found in simplicity, care, and connection.

A Cabin in the Clouds
Built by hand from clay, wood, and stone, the cabin opens to mountain air and quiet light. Inside, vaulted ceilings and handmade details create a peaceful space for rest and reflection. Wake with the mist, sip coffee on the terrace, and feel the calm rhythm of the Sierra all around you.
Seeds of the Sierra
The garden is where the story starts. We tend each plant from seed, nurturing native and rare species that thrive in the mountain soil. The Juanas, our happy chickens, live here as well, eating the garden’s leftovers and returning nourishment to the earth. It is a living cycle of growth, care, and gratitude.
Grown, Gathered & Served
A single table, reserved in advance, sits among the gardens and mountain air. Each meal is prepared slowly and with intention, using ingredients from the land and nearby farms. It is a quiet and personal dining experience, where the pace follows the rhythm of the Sierra.
