Here, dining feels like part of the landscape. The scents drift through the garden, herbs dry in the sun, and each plate reflects the rhythm of the mountain. Every ingredient tells a story of this place and the hands that tend it.
Where the Garden Becomes the Meal
At Casa Chuparrosas, dining is an experience of stillness, connection, and gratitude. There is only one table, reserved by appointment, where each meal is prepared slowly and served with intention.
Surrounded by the sounds of the forest and the scent of the garden, it is a private and deeply personal way to share in the rhythm of the Sierra.

The ingredients come from the garden just steps away, neighboring farms, and from the care of our happy chickens, the Juanas, who live nearby and feed on the garden’s natural waste. Fresh eggs, herbs, flowers, and seasonal vegetables come together in meals that celebrate the life and texture of the land.
Marian’s cooking draws inspiration from years of travel, her love of plants and mushrooms, and her deep respect for the environment around her. The food reflects the place, rooted in the Oaxacan mountains, shaped by the seasons, and filled with quiet creativity.
Guests often describe the experience as more than a meal. It feels like a meditation in taste, scent, and stillness. As the light shifts across the valley, you begin to feel the mountain’s calm settle into you.
Every dish begins in the soil.
